The Relic Ring has a rough, etched texture on the band which is juxtaposed by an almost liquid, molten texture on the face of the ring. The ring is meant to look as if it were recently pulled from the earth itself, like an artefact found in an archeological site.

The recesses of the ring have been blackened using a technique known as oxidation, which emphasizes the contrasting textures of the piece.
